There was a loud blast heard in the Somali capital of Mogadishu, in a
compound where the country’s Parliament is located.
The cause of the blasts are not made clear at the moment
The first Parliament in Somalia since the collapse of government in 1992 was
sworn in two years ago.
Since then the fragile federal
government has been waging a war to rid al-Shabab Islamists, which were pushed
out of Mogadishu in late 2012, but still remain a threat to stability in the
Horn of Africa nation.
Last month, a Somali member of Parliament was blown up, and another shot
dead in separate assaults.
HOL will report any developments about the attack.
