In Mogadishu, people demonstrated in the districts of Hodan, Howl-Wadaag and Yaaqshiid after the end of Friday prayers.
Sheik Ali Suufi Mosque in the Hodan district where a large number of people attended the Friday prayers including some well-know Islamic scholars, such as Shiek Nuur Baaruud Gurhan, the Friday sermon discussed the suffering of the Palestinian people as a result of Israeli attacks.
In Mogadishu’s biggest market, the Bakaara, thousands of demonstrators also came out to voice their anger over the suffering of Palestinians at the hands of Israelis.
Moreover, in the cities of Jowhar and Beledweyne in Middle Shabele and Hiiraan respectively, similar demonstrations took place where people held prayers and vigils in solidarity with the people of Palestine.
