Beledweyne (HOL) - Somali National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), in coordination with international partners, conducted a targeted military operation on Monday that killed several Al-Shabaab militants in the Hiiraan region.
In a statement, NISA said the pre-planned raid took place in the Biyo Madobe area, under Jicibow, where security forces neutralized seven members of the extremist group. The operation also resulted in the destruction of a truck loaded with ammunition.

“The army, in cooperation with international partners, carried out a pre-planned operation today in the village of Biyo Madobe, under the Jicibow area of Hiiraan region, killing seven members of the Khawarij, while also destroying a truck loaded with ammunition packed in sacks by the Khawarij,” the agency said.
According to the statement, the raid forms part of NISA’s ongoing operations targeting critical Al-Shabaab positions across the region.
