Somali police kill Al-Shabaab suspect in Mogadishu

Mogadishu (HOL) - Somali security forces have reportedly killed Al-Shabaab suspect in the Somali capital, Mogadishu.

The slain suspect had allegedly threw hand grenades at Police Station in Warta-Nabada district.

The security forces have surrounded a house where suspected Al-Shabaab militant holed up.

According to the residents in the district, the man confronted the forces before he was eliminated.

Meanwhile deputy police chief, Zakia Hassan said the Somali Police Force successfully apprehended 16 suspects.

The suspects were nabbed in security operations which took place in the capital, Mogadishu.

According to the deputy police chief, the security agencies launched investigations into the cases of the suspects.
