Mogadishu (HOL) - The Southwest state Assembly leadership has offered their condolences to the people of the state over the death of Ruqiya Hassan Abshir who was killed last night in Mogadishu.
Aweys Hassan Mohamed, the 1st deputy Speaker of Southwest Assembly described late Abshir as an active member and well-respected person in the assembly.
Ms. Abshir who was Member of Southwest Assembly was fatally injured outside her home in Shibis district, Mogadishu.
She was rushed to a hospital where she died undergoing treatment.
Abshir was buried in Mogadishu on Wednesday.
No group has yet claimed the responsibility for the attack.
Abshir will be the second the Southwest MP killed in less than a month.
Abdirahman Abdikadir Ali was killed early this month after a car he was travelling in, hit landmine along Afgooye Wanlaweyn road.
