Al Shabab militants have publicly executed three men in the town of Buulomareer in the Lower Shabelle region, after they were found guilty for spying for Somalia and Ethiopian governments.
The men were killed in front of villagers in the town who were told to witness the execution. Before the killing, Al shabab judge in the town read the charges against the three men.
“The first none believer is Ali Is-haaq Abdi, 24, who was spying for the infidels against Islam, the 2nd one is Osman Mahad Osman, 33, and he was a candidate for Qoryooley district deputy commissioner of the puppet government and the 3rd one is Maraale Mahad Ali Abdirahman who was found guilty of spying for the enemy of Allah against the Muslims and he was a member of Ethiopia’s new police” the Militant judge said.
However, some residents in the town of Buulomareer who were speaking to local media on condition of anonymity for security reasons said that the slain men were farmers as far as they know.
The Somali government along with AU troops recently seized several towns in the Lower Shabelle region, but the militants still control four towns and dozens of villages in the region.
