CAF slates Somali referees for Yanga, Komorozine tie

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has selected referees from Somalia to officiate the African club championship match between Young Africans ‘Yanga’ and Komorozine Sports of Comoro.

A message to the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) from CAF indicated that the first leg match will kick-off in Dar es Salaam between February 7 and 9 and the second leg will be in Grand Comoro island between February 14 and 16.

The center referee will be Hassan Mohamed Hagi and assisting referees are Hamza Hagi Abdi, Bashir Abdi Suleiman and Bashir Olab Arab. The match commissioner will be Eugene Musoke from Uganda.

Teams which have qualified directly to the first round of the African Championship league are Coton Sport (Cameroon), El Ahly (Egypt), TP Mazembe (Congo- DRC), El Hilal (Sudan), Club Sportif Sfaxien and Esperance (both of Tunisia).

On the other hand the knock out round match between Azam FC and Ferroviario da Beira from Mozambique in Dar es Salaam between February 7 and 9, officiated by referees from Sudan.

Center referee will be Mutaz Abdelbasit Khairalla while assistant referees will be Waleed Ahmed Ali, Aarif Hasab Elton and El Fatih Wadeed Khaleel,with the match commissioner slated to be Hassan Mohamed Mohamed from Somalia.

The second leg is slated for Beira between February 14 and 16.

Teams which have qualified directly to the first round are Asec Mimosas (Ivory Coast), Ismailia (Egypt), Wadi Degla (Egypt), Djoliba (Mali), MAS (Morocco), Bayelsa United (Nigeria), El Ahly Shandy (Sudan), E.S.S. (Tunisia), C.A.B. (Tunisia) and Zesco United (Zambia).
