A gang on Friday evening raided a bank in Nairobi and escaped with Sh3.2 million.
The gang of five, who included two women, went to Kenya Commercial Bank Ufundi Sacco Branch along Moi Avenue in the city and demanded money at gun point before escaping into a waiting car.
Police say the gang had earlier on posed as customers at the bank before they staged the robbery.
Nairobi County Police Commander Benson Kibui said the suspects were in the bank before it was closed for the day's business.
"They then drew out guns and ordered few customers who were in to lie down before they held the manager hostage and grabbed the money," said Kibui.
He added the gang later escaped in a getaway car without firing a single shot. Police say they are interrogating staff who were present during the incident.
