A charity organisation from Ajman in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has dug up 62 wells in drought-hit areas of Somalia.
The Human Appeal International dug up the wells at a total cost of 6,30,000 dirhams (around $172,000).
The 20-metre-deep wells were fitted with the latest equipment to provide water to families dependent on agriculture and raising cattle in areas like Heran and Bai near Somali capital Mogadishu.
