Mogadishu governor expresses concern over drought affected Somalis

Mohamud Ahmed Nor (Tarsan), the governor of Banadir region who returned back to the Somali capital Mogadishu on Sunday has expressed concern over livelihood of the drought affected people in and out of Somalia.


The mayor who traveled into more different European countries had accused the aid agencies for not helping the people dying for the famine and starvation in the regions of Somalia, Mogadishu and the Kenyan refugee camps indicating that the people lived in very hard situation.


“I can say that the aid agencies are taking par the displacement of the fleeing civilians, so if the aid agencies want to give aid to the people, they should give them into the country, because people are in a dangerous situation,” said the governor.


The governor said that the aid agencies give an expire food to the people in the refugee camps in Kenya where the people sought to get life better than the one they fled from the country calling for the charity organizations to help the needy Somalis quickly.
