Over 50 players have been attending training for the past week and the number is expected to be trimmed down to 20 for the Djibouti trip.
The Kenyan tactician said it had been a challenging task to prepare the team, but he is convinced those who will make the trip fit the bill.
"All the players were good and up to the required standard and this gave us a lot of work," Omollo told cafonline.
“It was one of my most difficult jobs as a tactician but I am happy that we are done with this aspect of selection," he said.
The Kenya – Somalia clash is one of the 12 preliminary round clashes that will lead up to the ninth African championship that will be held in Rwanda in 2011.

In last year’s qualifiers, Kenya lost to Rwanda in the preliminary round.
The winners between Kenya and Somalia will face Egypt in the first round in late August.
The aggregate winners from the first round will qualify for the 2011 championship and the best four teams will make it to the U-17 World Cup to be held in Mexico.
