First of all, let’s congratulate ex Prime Minster of Somalia, Prof. Ali M. Geedi who started a new way of thinking in Somalia: Resignation. It was courageous and nationalism how he solved the difference between him and Yusuf in a peaceful way. Geedi respected the county’s constitution and made the right decision based on the current situation in Somalia. I hope the president, parliament members, and future ministers will follow his steps. If you can not function effectively, for the sake of the country, resign.
Now, the next Prime Minster’s selection should be handled in a very careful and wisely process. Since the president will consult some of the parliament members, scholars, elders, Ugases, Imams, Sheikhs, and the rest of the community, you should be honest and advise the president for this selection. If you are one of those advisers, think about the county, religion, family, city, and your people, and then give advice based on these circumstances. We need someone who can lead the Executive Brach of the government, we need a leader who has a vision and mind, and we need a person who understands the current situation in Somalia.
Now, it is time to put behind tribe, section, group, heritage based premier. It is time to get a premier who can unite the parliament, ministers, and Judges.
