Victor Osimhen is set to undergo a medical with Galatasaray after they reached an agreement with Napoli to sign the striker on loan.
Personal terms are also in place on a season-long deal that will not feature an option or obligation to buy the Nigeria international.
The terms include a break clause in January, which would ensure that Galatasaray receive a fee in return for letting Osimhen depart.
Galatasaray vice president Ibrahim Hatipoglu and director of football Cenk Ergun are still in Italy working to finalise talks, with a plan in place to fly the forward to Istanbul by private jet imminently and complete the proposed switch.
Galatasaray won the Turkish Super Lig for a 24th time last season but failed to qualify for the Champions League after being eliminated in the playoffs by Young Boys.
Osimhen joined Napoli from Lille in 2020 and has gone on to score 76 goals in 133 appearances for the Italian club.
He played a key role in Napoli’s historic 2022-23 Serie A title win, their first in 33 years, by scoring 26 goals in 32 league matches.
Although his goal tally dipped in 2023-24, with Napoli finishing 10th and 41 points behind champions Inter, he still managed to score 17 goals across all competitions.
