Mogadishu court sets appeal date for Sayid Ali Maalim Daoud, accused of wife's murder

MOGADISHU (HOL) — The Banadir Regional Court of Appeal has scheduled an appeal hearing for Sayid Ali Maalim Daoud, who was previously sentenced to death, to begin this Sunday.

Daoud is accused of the murder of his wife, Luul Abdicasis, whom he allegedly killed by setting her on fire. The appellate court has directed the Hamarweyne District's police chief to ensure Daoud's appearance in court on Sunday and his subsequent return to Hamar Central Prison post-hearing.

The proceedings are scheduled for 9:00 AM, with all relevant parties required to be present.
