    BELEDWEYNE, Somalia — Abdullahi Salad Kugeey has assumed the role of Mayor of Beledweyne following the ousting of Nadar Tabax Moalin by the Hirshabelle administration. The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Local Governments declared the immediate enactment of these changes in the capital of Somalia's Hiran region.

    "The new appointment is part of our broader initiative to ensure effective governance and enhance service delivery in Beledweyne," stated Abdi Dahir Gure Karore, Minister of Internal Affairs and Local Governments. He issued a decree emphasizing the need for "regional security agencies and the Baledweyne district to facilitate a smooth transition and support the new mayor in his duties."

    The restructuring within Beledweyne's administrative ranks reflects the Hirshabelle government's commitment to accelerating development and improving social services. "After careful consultation with senior officials, we have decided to make this critical change to foster a more dynamic and service-oriented leadership," Karore explained regarding the decision-making process behind the leadership change.

    The specific reasons for Nadar Tabax Maalin's dismissal remain undisclosed.
