Lionel Messi partners with OrCam to improve lives of visually impaired in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa January 18, 2023 (FBC) – Football superstar Lionel Messi has announced a partnership with OrCam, an organization that works to improve the lives of the blind and visually impaired community.

As part of the partnership, Messi has made a special donation to OrCam to help support their mission, OrCam stated.

According to the superstar’s social platform the donation will go towards providing the revolutionary OrCam MyEye device to those in need in Ethiopia.

OrCam explained that the OrCam MyEye is a device that attaches to a person’s glasses and uses advanced technology to help the visually impaired navigate their daily lives adding that It can read text, recognize faces, and identify objects, all through a small camera and audio feedback system.

 “I am honored to be able to team up with OrCam and make this special donation to the blind and visually impaired community in Ethiopia,” said Messi. “Their technology is truly amazing and has the power to change lives. I am excited to see the impact it will have on those who need it most, Messi added.

It is said that the partnership between Messi and OrCam is an important step in helping to improve the lives of those with visual impairments in Ethiopia.

It is also disclosed that with Messi’s support and OrCam’s innovative technology, they hope to make a real difference in the lives of many.

The Argentine footballer is known for his philanthropy and has always been a supporter of causes that help underprivileged children.

He has a foundation, called “Leo Messi Foundation” which is dedicated to improving the lives of children around the world through education and sport.
