Mogadishu (HOL) - Authorities in Mogadishu's Hodan district, part of the Banadir region, have apprehended a man found driving a vehicle containing the body of a 6-year-old child.
The suspect, identified as Abdirahman Muse Ali, was discovered operating a vehicle carrying the deceased young boy, named Abdullahi Yusuf Abdullahi.
A police statement disclosed that they were alerted to the vehicle's presence near Digfeer Hospital. "On 5/6/2023, around 4:45 pm, residents in the Hodan District, particularly near Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Hospital (formerly known as Digfeer), informed the Banadir Police General Division about a parked car with a young child inside. Upon arrival, officers found the lifeless child within the vehicle," detailed the statement from the Banadir Police Command.
The apprehended suspect is currently under investigation by police officers. After concluding their inquiries, police will submit their findings to the appropriate court for subsequent actions.
