Mogadishu (HOL) - Two Somali government soldiers, who were reportedly among the cadre recently trained in Eritrea, killed a university student at the Bar Ubax intersection in Mogadishu on Sunday.

"These soldiers are a big problem for us. They don't have much patience and want to go everywhere quickly, like a plane. This is unacceptable," said one eyewitness.A female Khad trader at the intersection also spoke out about the incident. "Every day, they rob us and forcefully take our Khad. We are suffering from the killings and robberies, and we have called on the government to address this issue."
The incident occurred a day after two units of Somali government security services clashed on Saturday at the main intersection near Sinai market, an open-air produce market in Mogadishu. At least two soldiers were seriously injured, and road closures occurred in the area.
