A female polio vaccination health worker shot dead in Mogadishu

    Mogadishu (HOL) - Gunmen armed with pistols killed a female polio vaccination worker in Mogadishu's Dayniile district on Friday night.

    According to residents, the gunmen shot Shukri Al Mahad Alle several times while sitting at the front door of her house in the Issa Abdi neighbourhood of the Dayniile district.

    The reason behind her killing is unknown, even though there has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.

    She was one of the female polio vaccine workers who went into neighbourhoods to vaccinate children. The group responsible for the killing quickly fled the scene.

    Following the incident, the Deyniile District Police conducted investigations at the scene but have not yet identified any suspects in the murder.
