Somali Prime Minister awards Medal of Honor to KSrelief for its humanitarian efforts in Somalia

Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Robley, has awarded the Medal of Honor to the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), for its distinguished efforts in providing urgent humanitarian and relief assistance to the displaced people who were affected by drought in Somalia, including securing and distributing 2,838 tons of food baskets, benefiting 254,184 Somali individuals. The medal was received by the director of KSrelief's branch in Africa, Youssef Al-Rahma.

The Somali Prime Minister also presented a Medal of Honor to the Saudi Ambassador to Somalia, Ahmed bin Mohammed Saleh Al-Mawlid, in recognition of the efforts of the former Saudi Ambassador to Somalia, Dr. Mohammed Abdulghani Khayat.

This came during the Somali Prime Minister's meeting today with the Saudi Ambassador, in the presence of the director of KSrelief's branch in Africa, Youssef Al-Rahma, where the two sides discussed issues of common interest related to humanitarian and relief affairs and ways to enhance them.

The Prime Minister extended his appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense and KSrelief, for the assistance provided to Somalia, which reflects the strong and sound relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Al-Mawlid extended his sincere thanks to the Somali Prime Minister and the Somali government for honoring the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represented by KSrelief, reiterating the Kingdom's constant support for Somalia in various fields.
