Mogadishu (HOL) - At least five people were killed and nine others injured on Tuesday night in a shooting attack in Afgoye district of the Lower Shabelle region.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, an eyewitness said that the armed men had opened fire on the wedding party and escaped before Somali government forces arrived at the scene.
It is unknown the reason behind the attack in which the civilians were killed, and no group claimed responsibility for the attack.
Afgooye district security agencies made no comments regarding the attack.
Recently, a wedding party was attacked by armed men in the Galgaduud region's Abudwak district, which resulted in the deaths of several people.
