Puntland VP to release governance report

    Garowe (HOL) - Puntland Vice President Ahmed Elmi Osman "Karaash,"  said he would release a report on the general situation in Puntland but did not specify a date.

    The vice president's remarks come a day after Puntland President Said Deni arrived in Mogadishu to campaign for the Somali presidency.

    Last night, Deni appointed new cabinet members, including the information minister, which sparked much political debate in public.

    President Deni has ignored calls from politicians for him to resign and hand over power to his deputy.

    Said Deni announced his candidacy for Somali president on March 19.
