Kenya's new President William Ruto has chaired his first cabinet meeting attended by some ministers who openly opposed his presidential bid.It came as the new administration grapples with drought and security situations in the northern parts of the country.
The Tuesday meeting at State House, Nairobi, was attended by all outgoing ministers.
President Ruto is expected to name his new cabinet in the coming days and had promised during the election campaigns a 50:50 gender representation among ministers.
