National Security Advisor rubbishes claims that he met with TPLF

    Mogadishu (HOL) - The national security advisor to the Somali president, Hussen Sheikh Ali, denied reports that he had taken a meeting with TPLF officials in Djibouti.

    The unfounded reports began circulating on social media on Friday.

    "Please beware of the fake news circulating on the net: I have not travelled outside Mogadishu since I was appointed National Security Advisor to the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia."

    Ali served as President Mohamud's security advisor in his previous administration and as the External Security Director in the Somali National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA).
