Five dead in Shangani car crash

    Mogadishu (HOL) - At least five people were killed on Thursday following a car accident in the Shangani District of the Banadir Region.‎

    Witnesses confirmed that the five people, including young children, were all from the same family.

    Local police arrived at the scene following the crash but have not commented on who was at fault.

    ‎The road where the accident occurred is widely used by government vehicles, especially the military.

    Road safety is becoming a severe problem in Mogadishu's urban centre. A similar multi-fatality accident occurred last month when a vehicle struck several people having a coffee at a roadside cafe on Maka Almukarama road.
