Suna East MP Junet Mohamed has led Kenya's delegation to a high profile diplomatic meeting in Somaliland. The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) director of elections held talks with Liban Yousuf Osman, the deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Somaliland.
In a tweet on Friday, July 3, Osman said the two nations hoped to strengthened its ties and relationship. "It was my utmost pleasure to receive the delegation From the Republic of Kenya led by Junet Mohamed. They had a wonderful one-day visit to the Republic Somaliland aimed to strengthen ties and cooperation of the two nations,"Osman said.
Mohamed has seen his profile rise since 2018 March handshake between ODM leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta. During the public launch of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) at the Bomas of Kenya in November 2019, the lawmaker was chosen as the master of ceremonies highlighting his growing influence.
