Mogadishu (HOL) - The Somali cabinet on Thursday approved the National Reconciliation Plan following a weekly meeting held in Mogadishu.
Chaired by Somali Prime Minister, Hassan Ali Kheire, the members of the cabinet discussed the draft of the plan aims to support the country's peacebuilding with a focus on community integration.
The plan which was drafted by Somalia’s interior ministry is a guideline for the inclusive political process.
According to Statement posted on Somali News Agency, the member of the cabinet unanimously approved the proposal which is meant to spearhead the process to re-establish democracy in the horn of African nation which is recovering from two-decade-old civil war.
The members also debated the amendments of the tax regulation and local government before they voted for the review of the regulations.
During the meeting, the cabinet agreed to change Somali Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority (SCAMA) to Somali Civil Aviation.
The cabinet also approved a proposal by Somalia’s foreign ministry to appoint former Puntland deputy to an ambassadorial post.
