Garowe Conference enters its second day

GAROWE (HOL) - The conference between Federal and State government leaders has entered its second day.

The meeting which initially was scheduled to kick off on Thursday officially opened on Sunday afternoon in Garowe, the administrative capital of the semi-autonomous regional state of Puntland.

Chaired by Somali president, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, the meeting is expected to focus on wide range issues including the political differences between the federal government and its member states.

It will also discuss resources sharing, National Security Plan as well as the upcoming 2020 elections.

Leaders from Southwest, Jubbaland, Galmudug, and Hirshabelle states are in attendance the forum which is hosted by the leader of Puntland, Said Abdullahi Dani.

The meeting is also attended by Somali Prime minister, Hassan Ali Kheire and Mogadishu mayor, Abdirahman Omar Osman are also attending the meeting.
