Reports say one of the children using a pestle ‘metal’ suspected to be remnants of a war nearly forty years ago to crush cardamoms.

Other victims who were injured in the blast were said to be neighbours purchasing items from the shop.

A relative who spoke to BBC Somali said the injured the explosion was rushed to the hospital.

According to the relative, the father of the family and one child have survived the blast.

He said several in the area use similar metals as a pestle for crushing.
