MOGADISHU (HOL) - Al-Shabaab claimed that they fired a salvo of motor shells targeting Somalia's presidential palace in Mogadishu on Saturday.
Eyewitnesses report seeing several motor shells falling in an area near the palace in Wardhigley district.
No casualties have been so far reported.
The Somali government has not commented on the incident.
The attack came a day after The al-Qaida-linked al-Shabab claimed responsibility for the attack of the nearby Maka Almukarramah hotel killing at least 25 people.
