South Africa is hosting the annual retreat of speakers of parliament( of African nations), The Speaker of the federal government of Somalia his Hon Mohamed Mursal Shiekh Abdirahman headed a team of parliamentarians representing Somalia, they were well received by their South African colleagues in Johannesburg.
The Somali ambassador to South Africa his excellency Jamal Mohamed Barrow met the delegation
from Somalia and discussed with the Speaker the importance of strengthening ties between the two strategically important nations.
The Speaker thanked the ambassador for the warm treatment, and continued to inform him of the main topic of conversation, during his time in South Africa. This years’ agenda at the retreat of Parliament Speakers is Immigration, and the current difficulties and ways of solving the problem as a collective.
