Huge Blast Hits Somalia's Mogadishu

MOGADISHU (HOL) - A huge blast was heard in Somalia's capital Mogadishu on Sunday and smoke was seen rising above the scene of the explosion.

The blast was reportedly caused by a car loaded with explosives.

Initial reports say that suspected suicide car bombers targeted the Hawlwadag district headquarters.

The number of casualties could not be immediately established.

Islamist group al Shabaab frequently carries out bombings in the Horn of Africa country where they are fighting to topple the central government.
