BAYDHABO,(HOL)-Somali prime minister, Hassan Ali Kheire on Wednesday arrived in Baidoa, the interim capital of the Southwest state ahead of Thursday's weekly cabinet meeting in the town.
Southwest state leaders have welcomed the premier and his delegation at the airport.
Ministers, assistant and state ministers and other officials are expected to approach the city in the early hours of Thursday.
The meeting which will be the second one to be held in Baidoa is expected to discuss wide ranges including security, the expansion of government, military offensives against Alshabaab and Qalbi-Dhagax extradition.
The security of Baidoa which hosted the meeting of the council of ministers last week was beefed up mainly due to the scale of the meeting. It is the third time that the Council of Ministers holds its meeting outside Mogadishu.
In mid-July, it held a similar meeting in Kismayo, the interim capital of the Jubbaland administration.
