Break in at auditor general's office being investigated

Mogadishu (HOL) - Local media reported that the office of the Auditor General in Villa Somalia was raided in the middle of the night on Thursday and sensitive documents were stolen.

HOL contacted the Somali Auditor General who said that the break in was being investigated. When pushed for further details, Dr. Nur Farah Jimale said that he could not comment but said that he would share the findings of the investigation with us.

There are unconfirmed reports that sensitive documents are equipment were stolen from the office.

Villa Somalia is a heavily fortified compound with hundreds of soldiers protecting its perimeters around the clock.
