Mogadishu (HOL)  - A decision has finally been reached regarding the much anticipated Presidential debate. Somalia's Parliament agreed with the candidates who urged that it be rescheduled. They announced that it will happen on February 6th.

The debate which was originally scheduled for Tuesday was ended abruptly by the candidates after a unified walk-out of 21 of the 24 presidential hopefuls.

The Electoral Commission welcomed the decision saying the agreed that it should be held but were worried about the time crunch facing the elections.

The 24 candidates will be divided into two groups by alphabetical order.   The main topics are security, economic development, and corruption.

One of the main issues of contention regarding the initial debate was the lack of diverse media coverage, something that HOL learned will be rectified in the upcoming debate.
