Baidoa (HOL) - Residents of Goofgaduud village have reported their town was the scene of fierce fighting Wednesday morning as Al Shabaab militants battled security forces.
It is still unknown how many have died in the fighting as neither government officials or Al Shabaab have not publicly commented about the attack.
However sources within the military have said that Somali National Forces from Baidoa have arrived at the front line.
Goofgaduud has seen recurrent clashes between Al Shabaab and security forces.
