ISIS militants have released a sickening new video warning America of a new 9/11-style attack. The propaganda video called "We Will Burn America" warns there is "no safety for any American on the globe". The 11-minute long clip also calls on ISIS supporters to target America on its own soil. It also glorifies in previous atrocities by the group, including the beheading of US journalist James Foley. As reported by Mail Online, the video says: "By Allah's willing, the fear will spread among them again soon. "Here it is America now losing billions still to make sure their country is safe.
But today, it's time for payback." The video emerged after sickening footage showed the Islamic State using explosives to turn an ancient city into rubble. A video, posted online, shows the militants continuing their attack on Middle Eastern culture by destroying Nimrud, an archaeological treasure in Iraq. The thugs used bulldozers and then explosives to create a huge blast, obliterating ruins in the historic city. The terror group's fighters can be seen using power tools to smash artefacts in the old Assyrian city as part of their war against "false idols".
Nimrud was founded in the 13th Century BC and was once the capital of an empire. It is about 18 miles south-east of Mosul, which is now under the control of the Islamic State.
The city was plundered by Western explorers, so some of its treasures are in foreign museums. However, many of the iconic giant statues of winged beasts with human heads were still in Nimrud. The destruction of the statues follows on from reports that Islamic State burnt down Mosul Library, including its 8,000 ancient manuscripts.
