Uganda’s ministers for Internal Affairs General Aronda Nyakirima is dead. The ministry’s spokesperson said on their twitter handle that General Aronda died suddenly of a heart attack died while a board a flight from South Korea.

A media report from Uganda indicates that the 56-year old general died in Dubai while on transit to Uganda from a trip in South Korea.

The minister was controversially removed from government in 2013, but was appointed back to government after serving in the army.
