Three people have been reported killed in a deadly car accident in the outskirts of the city of Las Anod, the provincial capital of the northern Somali region of Sool.
The Toyota Noah car was travelling from Somaliland’s capital Hargeisa when it overturned on Friday evening in the village of Buundada Xargaga , 8 kilometres away the city of Las Anod.
Several other people were wounded in the accident. Three of whom ivery seriously according to Dr. Abdikarim Aden Warsame of the city’s main hospital who was reached for comment by HOL early on Saturday morning.
The region’s traffic police said they were investigating to find out the cause for the accident.
Most automobile accidents in the country are attributed to drivers with less experience who drove vastly on the destroyed roads which haven’t been rebuilt since the fall of the last functioning government of Somalia in 1991.
