Rochester, MN- One man is in custody and another is recovering from his injuries after an argument turned physical early Sunday.According to the police report, three men were drinking and arguing about their home tribes in Somalia when a 21-year-old and a 32-year-old began to assault the third man, age 34.
The 21-year-old picked up a 32-inch box TV, said Capt. John Sherwin, and said he was going to kill the man with it. The victim was struck in the shoulder with the TV.
When officers arrived at the home in the 300 block of 10th Street Southeast just after 4 a.m., the victim was complaining of pain in his head, neck, shoulder and back. He also sustained cuts that required stitches, the report said, and was taken by ambulance to a Rochester hospital.
The 21-year-old faces charges of second-degree assault and terroristic threats, Sherwin said; the 32-year-old was cited for disorderly conduct and may face other charges.
The Post-Bulletin typically doesn't identify suspects until they've been charged.
