A Somali police official said five people have died and six others wounded when a bomb believed to have been targeting a government vehicle exploded in Mogadishu.Mohamed Abdi said on Saturday the bomb went off as a government vehicle drove near a key junction in the city.
No group has immediately claimed responsibility but the blast is suspected to be the work of the al-Qaeda-linked al-Shabab militants, who are waging an insurgency against Somalia’s government.
