Osman Omer, 33, was charged with possession of drugs in a school zone after police said they found 15 pounds of the drug at his home on Hickory Hollow Terrace on Tuesday.

On Wednesday morning, officers later found 107 pounds of Khat at Omer’s storage unit on Murfreesboro Pike, according to a release from Metro Police. Some of the drugs were packaged for resale, police said.

Khat is considered a Schedule I drug that comes from an African or Arabian shrub.
