The group’s military wing spokesman Sheik Abdul Aziz Abu Mus’ab said that his Mujahideens have killed the lawmaker accusing him of being against Islamic implementation in Somalia.
“Today our fighters have successfully shot and killed one of the Somali parliament members and we will continue targeted attacks against them” said the militant spokesman whose speech was broadcasted by Al Shabab media.
Since early this year, Al Shabab fighters have killed at least four Somali government legislators.
Meanwhile two government soldiers have been killed in a separate attack which took place in the Dharkeynley district south west of the capital Mogadishu.
For the past three days, several targeted assassinations have been carried out in different regions in the country, as militants threaten to increase attacks during Ramadan.
