An organisation which helps Somali immigrants find jobs has been handed a cash grant.
BritSom, in Eversfield Gardens, Mill Hill, was given £1,450 by the Co-operative Membership Community Fund.
BritSom was formed in 2008 to help Somali students, graduates and professionals support others from the same background.
Abubakar Ali, of Britsom, said: “Funding is becoming ever harder to secure, therefore we were delighted to receive this grant from The Co-operative.
“The cash will make a huge difference to the group, and means we will be able to help more local people.”
