Human Appeal International drills 219 wells in 10 countries

Human Appeal International has finished drilling 219 wells to provide potable water in 10 countries. The plan has now been expanded to reach 300 wells by the end of 2013.

According to a report on the organisation's web-site, HAI teams work constantly to execute various projects around the world and drilling wells for potable water is of great importance in the HAI list of executed projects. Most of the chosen areas depend on agriculture and grazing, and the existence of water sources is very important for the stability of both professions. It is also important for the development of farmers.

The list of the benefiting countries comprises: Jordan, Senegal, Sudan, Somalia, Niger, India, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Kosovo and Kyrgyzstan.

The estimated value of the project is AED 1.691 million.
