The African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM)
is concerned about the rift between President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and
Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon, AMISOM spokesman Colonel Ali Aden
Humad said at a press conference in Mogadishu Sunday (November 17th).
Humad said AMISOM will send a delegation to Villa Somalia and will
consult with both leaders to facilitate a speedy resolution, UN-funded
Radio Bar-Kulan reported. He expressed concern that the disagreement
between Mohamud and Shirdon could set off political problems that could
undermine the fight against al-Shabaab.
