A man was stabbed to death and another was left fighting for his life following a fight outside a west London club.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody at a south London police station after the triple stabbing in Gorst Road, Park Royal, which locals today said happened after a fight outside the Lahvina venue.

One man who suffered stab injuries has been discharged from hospital while another remains in a critical condition. A third man found by police at about 4.40am yesterday was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem is expected today when an inquest will be opened and adjourned.

Lahvina is described on Facebook as a venue which hosts some of “the most talented Somali artists in the UK” while serving the “best Shisha” and stays open until 4am.

Abed Ismail, a casual worker at the club, said about 70 to 100 people were at the alcohol-free venue on Saturday night.

He added: “I think there was a fight outside and then it just carried on up the road. People are not allowed to drink inside but people do drink outside. I have no idea what it was about."

Shahab Sbet, 32, who runs a nearby café, said: “I heard lots of shouting and screaming like there was a huge fight for about five or ten minutes.

“It sounded as if there was a crowd of people and like it was quite bad. It’s absolutely shocking that someone died like that in the street.”

Another worker at nearby Dina Foods, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “I came into work at about 4am and there was nothing there, but I came out again at about 5am and the body was lying in the road with a red blanket over it.

“We have never had any problem like this before and now I’m scared to come out here after seeing what happened.”

The three stab victims were found further up the road from Lahvina outside a Renault Trucks depot. A police cordon remained until about 7pm last night.

The club owner, Mowlid Ahmed-Idan, was unavailable for comment.

Scotland Yard said its Homicide and Major Crime Command is investigating and is urging witnesses to call 020 8785 8081 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
