The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has strongly condemned Saturday's attacks on two police posts in Liboi by Al Shabaab militiamen.
The attacks saw 6 people among them Administration Policemen killed by gunmen and several others abducted.The
President has sent his condolences to the people of Kenya and also to
the families and friends of the ones who lost their loved ones.
Mohamud in a statement said that "we all have to strive to eliminate the Al Shabaab from the world"
The
Somali Head of State expressed his satisfaction at the role played by
AMISOM in liberating Somalia from the hands of the terror group
He also affirmed that action by AMISOM had significantly reduced the threat of Al Shabaab in the country.
The reduced threat has however been counteracted by the militia group who are now trying to destabilize the region.
