Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed has been sworn in.
Abdalla was out of the country when other Cabinet Secretaries were sworn in last week.
Secretary to the Cabinet and Head of Civil Service Francis Kimemia conducted the swearing in ceremony witnessed by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
President Uhuru congratulated Mohammed on her appointment and said he looked forward to working closely with her in pushing the country's agenda at the international arena.
The Head of State said the Foreign Affairs Ministry is a critical docket especially with regard to the implementation of the country’s policy of economic diplomacy.
He said the Government is keen on pursuing a vigorous foreign policy to advance Kenya's interests in the region and beyond.
