Sudan-Somalia Discuss Relations in Water Resources, Electricity

The State Minister at the Ministry of Water Resources and Electricity, Dr. Thabita Boutros, met last Wednesday with the visiting Somali delegation, headed by the Minister of Works, Transport, Sea Ports and Electricity, Mohi-Eddin Mohamed Kalamue, in the presence of the Somali Ambassador to Sudan.
The meeting discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and the cooperation in the domains of water resources and electricity.
Dr. Thabita expressed readiness of the Ministry of Water Resources and Electricity to extend engineering and technical assistance to Somalia in all fields, referring to the availability of opportunities for training, exchange of experiences and capacity building, especially in the areas of water and electricity engineering.
The minister also conveyed congratulations to the new Somali government, calling for more coordination between the two countries.
Meanwhile, the Somali minister praised the role being played by the Ministry of Water Resources and Electricity in the development.
